Glamis, CA (2/2/2013) - Yamaha invited ATVriders.com out to Imperial Sand Dunes in California for the eleventh annual Special Edition Glamis sand dunes ride event, and for 2013, Yamaha once again released both the YFZ450R SE and Raptor 700R SE sport ATV models.
For 2013, the Yamaha Raptor 700R received several noticeable updates in styling and performance. The most noticeable change to the Raptor 700R for 2013 is its new more aggressive fender styling which included new fenders and hood for a more aggressive look. Also, The Raptor 700R now has a twin piston rear brake caliper for improved stopping power, and the Dunlop tires have been replaced for 2013 with new Maxxis tires, which is a leader among performance tires.

In addition to the new features for 2013, the Raptor 700R Special Edition model has black fenders with a red hood and tank cover along with a stylish custom graphics kit. Also, it features a GYTR black front bumper and heel guards.

As for the 2013 Yamaha YFZ450R SE, it also features a GYTR black front bumper along with midnight blue / black fenders with stylish custom graphics. Also, SE also comes with a black seat, frame, swing-arm, and powder coated shock springs, which really adds to the look for the Special Edition YFZ450R ATV.
Another cool feature on the YFZ450R SE is the addition of the quick release fender fasteners for easier plastic removal without the use of any tools, which not only work great, but they also add to the styling of the YFZ450R SE.

After driving for a few hours, we arrived at the Glamis Sand Dunes, which would be our home for the next couple of days. Yamaha had us setup to stay in Camp 'n Style campers, and Camp Chef was back with all their great outdoor cooking gear to keep us feed during our extended stay in the dunes.
